O Criciúma reagiu rapidamente ao mau começo na Série B – três derrotas em três jogos: na noite da última terça-feira, o Tigre anunciou a demissão do então técnico Deivid e contratou Luís Claúdio Winck. Junto com o ex-atacante de 37 anos também caem a comissão técnica e o Diretor Executivo de Futebol,Gabriel Skinner.

Deivid comandou o time em 28 jogos e obteve10 vitórias, seis empates e 12 derrotas, com um aproveitamento de 42.8%. Ele comandou o time em quatro competições: Catarinense, Série B, Primeira Liga e Copa do Brasil.

Depois de comunicado da demissão, Deivid não escondeu a frustração e se classificou como um técnico da moda antiga, que gosta de olho no olho.

-A gente fica triste, pois na segunda ele manda um monte de mensagens, falando um monte de coisas e na terça ele faz um negócio desses. A gente não fica triste pela demissão, mas na forma como foi. Uma falta de respeito, profissionalismo e respeito com o ser humano, mostra que ele está visando dinheiro e pegando o clube para fazer negócios – comentou o comandante, em entrevista à Rádio Difusora.

O clube catarinense volta a campo no próximo sábado, às 16h30, quando visita o Luverdense, na Arena Pantanal, pela quarta rodada da Série B.

Outro atleta consultado recentemente pelo Palmeiras foi Joelinton, de 20 anos, que foi revelado pelo Sport e hoje está emprestado pelo Hoffenheim (ALE) ao Rapid Viena (AUS) até o fim da próxima temporada europeia. Os alemães têm contrato com ele até 2020 e não desejam emprestá-lo para um clube brasileiro agora, por isso os valores solicitados inicialmente são fora da realidade.

Aloísio, o Boi Bandido, também foi um nome consultado pela diretoria. Ele tem contrato com o Hebei Fortune (CHN) até o fim do ano e, a princípio, não deseja retornar ao país agora. O jogador vive boa fase na China, onde tem rendimentos bem superiores ao padrão brasileiro.

لا يرغب الدولي البرازيلي داني ألفيس، ظهير برشلونة السابق، في اعتزال كرة القدم، حيث يبحث عن نادٍ يلعب فيه، حتى يكون جاهزًا لكأس العالم 2022 في قطر رفقة منتخب بلاده.

ورحل ألفيس عن برشلونة، بعد أن قرر النادي الكتالوني عدم تمديد عقده، وإخباره أنه لن يكون ضمن خطط تشافي هرنانديز في الموسم الجديد 2022/2023.

وكتب ألفيس عبر حسابه الرسمي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “إنستجرام”: “هذا اليوم الأخير في عقدي مع برشلونة، ولم أوقع مع فريق جديد حتى الآن، لذا دعوني أقوم بتسويق نفسي لأنني كبير في السن وفقدت فرصتي في السوق”.

وتابع: “في الفيديو الذي أمامكم سترون رجلًا عجوزًا يفعل بعض الأشياء بطريقة مختلفة ودائمًا مرفوع الرأس”.

Adam Gilchrist has told Sachin Tendulkar that his comments questioning Tendulkar’s evidence in the Harbhajan Singh racism case had been taken out of context. Excerpts from Gilchrist’s new book, published in the , questioned Tendulkar’s sporting spirit and his role in the hearings into the alleged racist remark made by Harbhajan. In , Gilchrist suggested Tendulkar had changed his statement.”Gilchrist called me up and clarified this issue,” Tendulkar told news channel . “He said his comments have been taken out of context.” To another channel, , Tendulkar defended himself against Gilchrist’s remark that he was “hard to find for a changing-room handshake after we have beaten India”.”Before, during and after the match I don’t like to enter the opposition dressing-room as it is not my culture,” Tendulkar said. “But I have nothing against other cultures. I have never walked off a ground without shaking the opposition players’ hands.”Indian cricket officials have already criticised Gilchrist for questioning Tendulkar’s honesty. MV Sridhar, the Indian team manager on the tour, had added a twist to the saga by offering a different version to Gilchrist of what Tendulkar had said.”During the hearing in front of Mike Procter, the match referee, during the Sydney Test, Tendulkar told him that he had heard some form of abuse,” Sridhar told Cricinfo. “But Procter didn’t probe any further and left matters at that. Symonds saw Harbhajan hitting Brett Lee on the backside so he stepped in and “had a bit of a crack at Harbhajan”, telling him exactly what he thought of his antics. Harbhajan was initially banned for three Tests but his punishment was overturned on appeal.BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla said the board would not pursue any action against Gilchrist. “I think it is better to ignore Gilchrist’s comments,” Shukla said. “The only one to lose respect will be him, not Tendulkar.”Niranjan Shah, the BCCI secretary at that time, felt Gilchrist only wanted to “sensationalise the incidents” to sell his book. “Everything was properly handled by the authorities with the appointment of proper men to conduct the hearing after a proper procedure was put in place. After the matter is over, to claim these things in the book is nothing but foolishness.”

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts insists Ryan Sessegnon must take his game to the next level if he is to stay at the club.

The former Fulham star has endured a mixed start to his Spurs career following a £25m move in 2019.

Sessegnon was sent on loan to German club Hoffenheim last season and has made a total of 13 first-team appearances for Spurs at first-team level.

He has played once under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, featuring in last week’s 1-0 Europa Conference League defeat to Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal.

Roberts believes that the 21-year-old too regularly takes the safe option when he is in possession of the ball but he thinks there is hope for him in the coming weeks and months.

Indeed, he sees similarities with Bale, who began his Spurs career as a left-back and was eventually moved forward into a left-wing position, where he became one of the best players in the world.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, Roberts said: “He doesn’t take people on. Gareth Bale was like this when he first came.

“Sessegnon reminds me of Gareth Bale, just plays it simple, and then when Gareth Bale got moved forward like Sessegnon has, he started taking people on, scoring goals.

“Sessegnon has to go to that next level and if he doesn’t, then I can see him moving on.”

Ali scored a composed 52 and added a match-winning 80 in 11.1 overs with Abhinav Bali to make short change of a competitive total.Having opted to bat, Lahore’s trigger-happy top order fired blanks. Two flashy boundaries and Imran Nazir was on his way, smartly stumped by Phil Nixon off TP Sudhindra’s medium-pace. Imran Farhat was dropped by Murtaza on 13, cutting Shane Bond straight to point, but the bowler had his revenge with his first ball. Aston Villa announced on Monday that midfielder Conor Hourihane has joined Sheffield United on loan. 

And, as to be expected, a number of Villa supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

Hourihane, who joined Villa back in 2017 from Barnsley for £3.15m, has signed for the Blades on a season-long loan.

He’s out of contract at Villa Park next summer, so may well have played his last game for Villa in the club’s 6-0 win over Barrow earlier in the month where he was captain.

The 30-year-old has made a total of 151 appearances for Villa during his time in the Midlands, scoring 29 times and registering 23 assists.

Villa are yet to add to their central midfield ranks this summer, so Hourihane’s departure leaves Dean Smith with one less option in the middle of the park.
