A formação do Corinthians no segundo tempo da partida contra o Vasco surpreendeu. O meia-atacante Pedrinho saiu do lado direito e passou a atuar “flutuando” como um falso 9, enquanto Romero deixou a posição de centroavante para atuar na beirada. Deixar Pedrinho mais perto da área é uma ideia do técnico Osmar Loss, que viu o primeiro teste funcionar: o Corinthians virou o jogo para 4 a 1.

Loss acredita que a habilidade de Pedrinho pode desequilibrar mais perto da área. O treinador ainda aproveitou o fato de não contar com os centroavantes Roger e Jonathas, lesionados, para testar o jovem meia-atacante mais avançado.

– O Romero fez os três gols jogando pelo lado, quem estava flutuando era o Pedrinho. Estamos tentando aproximar o Pedrinho da área – pontuou Loss, após ser questionado sobre Romero ter atuado novamente como centroavante (já havia feito a função no clássico contra o São Paulo).

– O Pedrinho é uma peça muito importante dentro do elenco, está amadurecendo cada vez mais, fez uma função que ainda não tinha executado. A gente treinou muito pouco para que ele jogasse dessa forma. Vai melhorar ainda mais com o entendimento do posicionamento dessa função mais próximo da área, onde a habilidade pode ser muito mais decisiva – analisou o treinador.

Na visão de Loss, Romero e Pedrinho são concorrentes pelo lado direito do campo. Nos últimos dois jogos, porém, eles atuaram juntos: Romero como centroavante no clássico contra o São Paulo e no primeiro tempo diante do Vasco, e depois Pedrinho como centroavante na etapa final. O treinador comemorou as variações no sistema ofensivo da equipe e prevê dificuldade para os adversários.

– Sempre deixei muito claro que o Corinthians tinha essa forma de jogar (sem centroavante de origem) bem definida, que não era necessário treinar isso na preparação porque já tinha essa formação bem estabelecida desde o primeiro semestre. Claro que são jogadores novos, e a gente ganha possibilidades. Com os retornos do Roger e do Jonathas, ainda tem o Matheus Matias, o Emerson Sheik que entrou no final contribuindo… Acho que temos bastante possibilidades. Deixamos os adversários mais perdidos para saber como o Corinthians vai jogar – celebrou Loss.

Depois de sofrer com lesões, suspensões e a ausência de atletas pelos mais diversos motivos, o técnico Diego Aguirre viverá uma situação inusitada na próxima quinta, quando o São Paulo enfrenta o Colón, da Argentina, no jogo de volta da segunda fase da Copa Sul-Americana. Para esta partida, a comissão técnica do Tricolor não terá ninguém no departamento médico e apenas Brenner, suspenso pelo cartão vermelho, será desfalque.

Após recuperar Rodrigo Caio de uma cirurgia no pé esquerdo e Edimar de um entorse no tornozelo esquerdo, o departamento médico do São Paulo ficou vazio. Atualmente, apenas o zagueiro Lyanco – jogador do Torino, da Itália – trabalha no Reffis do CT da Barra Funda.

After a thorough investigation, including extensive discussion with the ICC, these are the facts. Ajmal’s action is well within the ICC range of tolerance. Corinthians e Universidade Brasil voltaram a promover uma ação que mostra o quanto esporte e educação podem caminhar juntos por meio de resultados práticos e concretos. Os jogadores Jadson, Clayson, Gabriel e Roger entregaram dez novas bolsas de estudo de educação para alunos de baixa renda, fruto do projeto de inclusão social inédito no futebol brasileiro, o Esporte com Educação, em evento realizado no CT Joaquim Grava.

O projeto está diretamente ligado ao desempenho do Timão no Campeonato Brasileiro. Os gols marcados, as vitórias, as partidas em que a equipe termina sem sofrer gols e as rodadas nas lideranças representam a entrega de bolsas para jovens que não têm condições financeiras de pagar por uma faculdade particular.

– O esporte deve ser sempre aliado ao estudo, e mais do que uma simples parceria, queremos levar às pessoas educação. Nosso projeto com o Corinthians já está consolidado, e as centenas de bolsas entregues neste período representam um resgate de alguns valores indispensáveis nas nossas vidas, como ética, respeito e civilidade – explica o reitor da Universidade Brasil, Fernando Costa.

Em 2017, no primeiro ano da parceria, foram entregues 102 certificados, de diferentes cursos, em razão da campanha do Corinthians na última competição nacional, que resultou no título. Nesta temporada, o clube já soma 38 bolsas, fruto do desempenho no 1o turno do Campeonato Brasileiro.

Os alunos são escolhidos por meio de indicações feitas pelo próprio Corinthians junto às ONGs parceiras e precisam obrigatoriamente comprovar a baixa renda. As entregas dos certificados são feitas no CT Joaquim Grava por atletas e membros da comissão técnica corintiana.

– Ainda estou desacreditada, pois nunca imaginei esse momento. Estou realizando meus principais sonhos, que é conseguir uma bolsa de estudo e ao mesmo tempo conhecer alguns jogadores. É bem emocionante, difícil de assimilar – conta Mariana dos Santos, uma das escolhidas no CT Joaquim Grava.

– É algo que a gente sempre deseja mas acha que nunca vai realizar, né? Muito feliz, é realmente a realização de um sonho – acrescenta Francisco Zaqueu, outro presente na entrega dos certificados.

Até o final deste ano, mais uma série de bolsas de educação à distância serão selecionadas e entregues, mediante o desempenho do Corinthians no segundo turno do Campeonato Brasileiro.
