Jogo bastante intenso, poucas chances criadas e gol anulado

Até a metade do primeiro tempo, Red Bull Bragantino e Atlético-GO fizeram um jogo de muita briga pela posse da bola, disputa intensa por espaço, mas com nenhuma oportunidade de perigo criada.

A primeiro lance perigoso surgiu apenas aos 30 minutos da etapa inicial. Edimar recebeu de Claudinho e cruzou, Ytalo escorou para Helinho bater. Jean defendeu e, na sequência, Ramires ainda tentou marcar no rebote, mas o goleiro do Dragão conseguiu evitar o gol.

O Atlético-GO respondeu cinco minutos depois. Após cobrança de escanteio, Éder desviou de cabeça, Marlon Freitas aproveitou e marcou para o Dragão. Mas arbitragem viu impedimento do volante e anulou.

Após esses dois lances, o jogo voltou ao panorama inicial de muita disputa e nada de lances de perigo. Jogada de perigo, só no finalzinho do primeiro tempo. Artur desceu pelo lado direito e cruzou, Ytalo dominou dentro da área, girou em cima do zagueiro e bateu, Jean estava ligado no jogo e fez uma ótima defesa.

Início do segundo tempo intenso e gol do Massa Bruta

As duas equipes voltaram com tudo na etapa complementar. Logo aos 4 minutos, Janderson disparou em velocidade e deu um belo passe para Wellington Rato. Mas o goleiro Cleiton estava mais esperto e antecipou o meia do Atlético-GO e conseguiu fazer o corte e salvar Red Bull Bragantino.

Quando o Massa Bruta respondeu o ataque Dragão abrindo o placar. Aos 10 minutos, Claudinho recebeu passe dentro da área, mas não foi egoísta e passou para Ytalo. O atacante bateu e inaugurou o placar: 1 a 0.

Quase empate do Atlético-GO e blitz do Bragantino

Quase que em seguida ao gol Massa Bruta, o Dragão por pouco não empatou. Aos 12 minutos, cruzamento na área do Bragantino, Wellington Rato desviou, a bola passa por Cleiton, mas Edimar estava esperto e evitou o gol do Atlético-GO.

A partir começou um bombardeio do Red Bull Bragantino. Artur (três vezes) e Ricardo Ryller tiveram ótimas oportunidades para marcar, mas quando não era a pontaria que falhava, o goleiro Jean estava lá para salvar o Dragão.

Com gol de Pênalti marcado pelo VAR, Massa Bruta liquida a fatura

O Dragão bem quem tentava o empate, mas o Red Bull Bragantino era senhor do jogo. E o gol que consolidou a vitória do Massa Bruta veio nos acréscimos. Após consultar o VAR o árbitro marca pênalti para o Bragantino, Claudinho, no dia do seu jogo de número 100 com a camisa do Massa Bruta, bateu e fechou a fatura.

Sidra Ameen’s half-century and three-fors from Diana Baig and Nashra Sandhu led Pakistan to a four-wicket win against West Indies in the third ODI, giving the home team a historic 2-1 series victory – their first against West Indies.The win gave Pakistan two points, lifting them above West Indies to fourth place in the ICC Women’s Championship table. Pakistan now have 12 points, the same as India, but with a much inferior net run rate. West Indies remain on 11 points.The Pakistan bowlers continued their fine show from the second ODI, in which they had bowled out West Indies for 206. This time, the visitors managed only 159. Captain Stafanie Taylor opted to bat, scored 52, and even took 2 for 17, but her all-round show wasn’t enough to take West Indies through.Taylor had to walk out in the first over, Kycia Knight having been bowled by Baig off the third ball of the innings, and she stayed till the 37th over as wickets fell around her. West Indies were in a good position early on till Taylor and Deandra Dottin were batting together but Dottin’s aggressive 28 off 20 came to an end when she was run-out by Nida Dar in the eighth over.Shemaine Campbelle then joined Taylor for a 52-run stand as West Indies consolidated, but once Campbelle was caught behind off Sandhu, the innings stuttered. They slipped from 87 for 2 in the 20th over to 159 all out, losing their last eight wickets for only 72 runs. Only one other batsman – Afy Fletcher – reached double figures after that and she remained unbeaten on 21. The 21-year-old Sandhu built a stranglehold in the middle overs, taking 3 for 21 in ten overs. Baig returned to end Taylor’s 95-ball stay with a return catch, before adding one more wicket to end with 3 for 42 in eight overs.The trio of Sana Mir, Dar, and Kainat Imtiaz were also parsimonious, conceding at less than three runs per over each.Pakistan’s reply was steady, with opener Ameen’s second straight half-century guiding the chase early on. She shared useful stands with fellow opener Nahida Khan, Javeria Khan, and Dar, before falling for 52 off 107 in the 39th over. Ameen’s wicket induced a mini-wobble, as Pakistan went from 128 for 3 to 139 for 6 in the space of 22 balls, but the experienced Mir came in at No. 8 and guided the team home, hitting a boundary with the scores level to seal victory in 47.2 overs.Shakera Selman took 2 for 24 in ten overs while Taylor had a fruitful seven-over stint too. But the other bowlers couldn’t sustain the pressure as much to defend the sub-par total.

Leeds United decided to part ways with sporting director Victor Orta back in May shortly before the club's relegation from the Premier League.

The Spanish chief had plenty of highs and lows at Elland Road and his work in the transfer market left a lot to be desired, particularly towards the end of his time in Yorkshire.

One signing that has turned out to be a disaster for the Whites is central defender Diego Llorente, who is currently out on loan at Roma this season.

The 30-year-old stopper was snapped up from Real Sociedad for a reported fee of £18m in the summer of 2020. It was claimed that Leeds wanted to sign Josko Gvardiol from Dinamo Zagreb for the same figure but lost out to RB Leipzig in that particular race.

Llorente went on to play 59 competitive matches for the Whites across two-and-a-half seasons with the club before his loan move to Roma at the start of this year.

His availability left a lot to be desired during his debut campaign in England as the defender missed 23 games through three separate injury issues.

He was then able to play 28 Premier League matches during the 2021/22 campaign but Leeds only kept five clean sheets in those outings.

The experienced dud then struggled during the first half of last season as he only made eight top-flight appearances before his January exit.

Sky Sports pundit Sue Smith described him as being "really poor" against Brentford in September 2022 and Llorente made two errors that led to goals for the opposition in those eight games.

It was recently reported by Roma Metropolitan Magazine that the Italian side could strike a deal for his services on a permanent basis for a fee within the region of €5m (£4.3m) next summer.

The Spanish giant has been a solid performer for the Serie A outfit with zero errors that have led to shots or goals for the opposition in 14 league appearances this term, and has not been a liability for his team.

He has won 65% of his defensive duels and completed 91% of his attempted passes in those 14 games, which suggests that the Leeds flop has been a reliable operator in and out of possession.

However, his current performances for Roma do not take away from how much of a disaster the transfer was for the Whites if they end up cashing in on him for £4.3m.

It is a staggering £13.7m loss on the £18m that was spent to secure his services ahead of the 2020/21 campaign under Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds did not get much in the way of quality displays on the pitch, due to the aforementioned injury and performance issues, and now look set to make a major loss on the money they paid for him.

Therefore, Orta had a disaster with the signing of Llorente from Sociedad back in 2020 and the now-Sevilla sporting director may not look back on that piece of business as one of his finer moments at the club.

To rub salt in the wound, RB Leipzig went on to sell Gvardiol, who was the preferred target for Leeds ahead of the Spaniard, to Manchester City for a reported fee of £77.6m earlier this year.

وواصل تصريحاته: “كانت المعاملة غريبة في برشلونة، كذلك الطريقة التي تحدث بها معي مجلس الإدارة، لكن هذا انتهى الآن لأنني سعيد بالحصول على الفرصة في الانتقال إلى ريال بيتيس”.

Reports have claimed that Villa want to sign two new attackers, with RB Salzburg attacker Oscar Gloukh one player who has been linked. Other forwards named as possible targets have been Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, Cyril Ngonge from Hellas Verona and Leicester City’s Keleci Iheanacho.

However, there could also be some exits to deal with, including looking at potential loan options for several young talents, and a new update as shared a development in that regard.

Kerr Smith update as defender leaves Aston Villa

Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke shared an update he’s heard from Aston Villa regarding youngster Kerr Smith. He stated that the 19-year-old has agreed a new two-year deal, with Villa also agreeing terms with St Johnstone for the player to complete a loan exit this month.

Villa are keen for the defender to get regular first-team experience and Smith will be ‘one of a number of Villa talents who will be loaned out in the January window as the club look to get their regular senior playing time’.

Smith arrived at the club in 2022 from Dundee United, with academy manager Mark Harrison heaping praise on the player following his arrival, saying:

“We are delighted that Kerr has joined us, he is a player we have tracked and monitored for a long time.

“He has lots of potential but has already gained some fantastic experiences at first-team level with Dundee United, which is rare for a 17-year-old. We are really excited to see how he develops and hopefully one day we will see him become a regular in our first team.”

He was also praised by veteran defender Mark Connolly during their time at Dundee United, where Smith made 12 senior appearances before moving to England. Connolly said:

“Kerr, who played beside me, was fantastic. He’s 16 years of age and it’s incredible.”

Smith has gone on to make 51 appearances for Villa’s youth sides over the last two years but is awaiting his senior debut. Therefore, a return to Scotland to gain some senior game time over the second half of the season could prove to be a shrewd move in the long run, and by the looks of things, Villa still have high hopes for Smith in the Midlands following news of a new deal.

PEIXE TEM DESFALQUE NO ATAQUE

O Santos terá um desfalque importante no clássico desta quarta. Com uma lesão muscular, o atacante Kaio Jorge está fora do jogo e não deve atuar mais no Campeonato Brasileiro. Ele deve ser substituído por Marcos Leonardo.

Na defesa, Laércio sofreu um entorse no tornozelo e pode ficar fora. Caso isso aconteça, Luiz Felipe deve ser o escolhido para começar a partida.
