The Whites have so far brought in five new players, with Largie Ramazani being the latest from Almeria last week. Daniel Farke’s side won 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday evening, with Ramazani in attendance, and the boss said after the game that a few more will need to join the Belgian before the deadline.

"I don't want to speak too much about the players not involved with us today and who will come in the next days, obviously from tomorrow he [Ramazani] will train with us.

"I want to spotlight a bit more the players who were involved and perhaps in the next weeks are not that much in the spotlight, like young players like Sam Chambers, or Alex Cairns.

“Obviously it's good we have Largie signed and [I] have made it clear we definitely need a few more if we want to be ambitious. Just with a squad of 12, 13 senior players, for this emotional and ambitious club to be successful it's not possible.

“We have a good group to build on, we showed this today but we will also need a few additions and then we speak about them when they have trained with us. At the moment all the players deserve to be in the spotlight that were involved tonight."

One of those to link up with the Leeds squad is Tottenham winger Manor Solomon, with the Israel international set to join on a season-long loan without the option to buy.

However, a midfielder and full-back are also wanted at Elland Road, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth, and it looks as if a bid has been made for a midfield target.

Leeds make £13m offer for Sheffield United star Hamer

According to The Star, Leeds have made a bid worth £13m for Sheffield United midfielder Gus Hamer, one which has been rejected by their Yorkshire rivals. This comes after Blades boss Chris Wilder said the club have had a bid “a million miles off” for one player, which could be Hamer.

“There have been a couple of bids for players; one was pretty close and another was a million miles off. If and when decisions on players get made by the board then I'll get notified and we have to have a plan and be ready. It's a bit of me looking into the future and trying to see who potentially might go.”

Hamer did have a release clause after Sheffield United were relegated but that has expired, with Adam Pope claiming that it is unlikely Leeds go back in with an improved offer.

"I’m told Leeds United unlikely to go back with an improved offer for Sheffield United midfielder Gus Hamer after initial bid for him rejected by Blades."

The 27-year-old, called "unbelievable" by former teammate Oli McBurnie, can play as a holding, central or attacking midfielder, but as things stand, he won’t be signing for the Whites before Friday.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is personally driving his club's pursuit to sign a "dream" replacement for Richarlison before summer deadline day.

According to reliable GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs, Tottenham are determined to sell Richarlison, amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, with fellow respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming Spurs are actively looking for a new striker.

After a regrettable debut campaign in north London under ex-boss Antonio Conte, Richarlison bagged 12 goals in all competitions last season, finishing 2023/2024 as their second top scorer behind superstar Son Heung-min.

The 27-year-old, signed from Everton for around £60 million in the summer of 2022, enjoyed a very impressive mid-season purple patch which hugely contributed to his end-of-season haul.

Richarlison racked up nine goals in eight Premier League games from December last year through to February, but despite his flashes of brilliance, Spurs are prepared to offload the South American and bring in a successor.

As the ex-Watford ace's future hangs in the balance, reports have centered around which names could come to Spurs in his stead. These targets would also have the task of replacing Harry Kane, who departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich in a multi-million pound deal last year.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been described as keen on a move to Spurs, according to media outlets like talkSPORT, but it is Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke making more headlines right now.

The former Liverpool striker, who scored 21 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth last season, is a star player for the Cherries, and it would be a big blow for Andoni Iraola to lose him.

Bournemouth may well be powerless if Spurs or any other club decide to trigger the £65 million release clause in his contract, but some media sources like TEAMtalk believe Tottenham chiefs think that they can do a deal for Solanke at around £60 million.

GiveMeSport have an update on the situation this week, and they claim Postecoglou is personally driving Tottenham's move for Solanke, who is believed to be open to this potential transfer.

GMS have different information to previous reports about his price tag, though, as Spurs apparently value Solanke at around £50 million – despite the player hitting double figures last season and still having three more years left on his contract.

The Lilywhites may well find themselves paying a higher fee than £50 million because of this, we believe, but it's clear as day why Tottenham are now very keen on the 26-year-old.

“He’s a dream," said ex-Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil. "As a center forward, I think sometimes his work can go unnoticed because it's difficult to score goals at this level.

“But I'm so pleased he get his goal because you ask him to press, he presses, you ask him to do stuff in possession. He does it, he literally does everything he can. Probably the hardest working centre-forward I've ever seen."

In attack, West Ham are yet to strike a deal for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, which led them to exploring a possible move for Borussia Dortmund forward Niclas Fullkrug, who has spent his entire playing career turning out for clubs in Germany. There has now been a new development regarding West Ham and Fullkrug after he emerged as a target.

According to Sheth, who took to X, West Ham have opened talks over a move to sign Fullkrug, who appears to be keen on moving to the Premier League, with those discussions now advancing.

Recently, the 31-year-old represented Germany at Euro 2024 and scored two goals in the competition as the hosts made the quarter-finals.

Prior to the tournament, he came in for plenty of praise from former striker Peter Crouch, who admitted he loves the Dortmund man after he enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign in 2023/24, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances in the 2023/24 campaign.

“I would have an outside bet at Fullkrug at Germany [for golden boot],” Crouch said. “I feel like he could be one of the players like Miroslav Klose where he just gets goals in major tournaments.

“I love him. He’s had a good season… He’ll go into it full of confidence. Germany are kind of going underneath the radar. They’re the host nation and I think he could be the main man. He’s maybe not as sexy a name as the [Kylian] Mbappes, Crisitiano Ronaldos and Harry Kanes, but I think he could go under the radar and get a good few goals.”

Meanwhile, Ally McCoist added: “I’m a fan of Niclas Fullkrug. Nothing wrong with an old-fashioned centre forward that can play. Every time I’ve seen Fullkrug, he’s impressed me. His game knowledge is good, his touch is excellent, he can finish, he’s aggressive… I think he’s a good player.”

Manchester United have made an approach to sign a £600,000-a-week midfielder, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly happy to pay up to £40m to complete a deal.

In regards to incomings, centre-back Leny Yoro and centre-forward Joshua Zirkzee have been the marquee arrivals, but more is still wanted at Old Trafford to bolster Erik ten Hag's squad.

For example, a double deal for Bayern Munich duo Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt is being worked on, and alongside the right-back and centre-back, a midfielder is also on the Old Trafford wishlist.

There have been plenty of rumours as to who that midfield addition could be, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte the most heavily linked target. There are also alternatives to Ugarte, with contact being made to Burnley’s Sander Berge, whereas talks have also been held for AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana.

Now, attention has turned back to a long-term target that United supporters will know all about.

Man Utd make Frenkie De Jong approach

According to Manchester World, Man Utd have made an approach to Barcelona over a deal for Frenkie de Jong. The Dutch midfielder was heavily linked with a move to work with Ten Hag during the 2022 transfer market, but as we know, a move never materialised.

Now, it looks as if the Red Devils could try again, with the report stating that ‘United have made a tentative approach to Barcelona in recent days to ascertain De Jong’s availability, with the Premier League side open to completing a deal if a fee around the £30m-£40m mark can be agreed’.

De Jong, on a whopping £600,000-a-week with the Catalan giants, has been with Barcelona since 2019 and has made more than 200 appearances for the club. Prior to that, De Jog was at Ajax, where he worked under Ten Hag, turning out 59 times under the current United boss. Ten Hag is a big fan of the current Barcelona star, saying last year:

"Frenkie is an incredible player and for every club in the whole world he will strengthen the squad because he has a unique quality. If you can get him in the squad your team will be stronger. In Spain he became even better. He's a fantastic player, plays out from the back, he always has time and it was a pleasure to work with him."

Who knows, a move this summer could finally come off, but for now, a tentative approach has been made, making this one to watch.
