وأكمل عن معادلة شيكابالا سجله التهديفي مع الزمالك برصيد 71 هدفًا: “لا يوجد أي مانع أو أزمة في وصول شيكابالا لعدد أهدافي، أتمنى أن يسجل 81 و91 هدفًا، لم أكن أهتم باحتساب عدد الأهداف”.

وزاد: “ما يعجبني في المجلس الجديد لإدارة نادي الزمالك أنهم يتحدثون بروح وأهداف واحدة، الاستقرار الإداري انعكس على مستوى اللاعبين أمام سموحة، وأتمنى أن نترك المجلس يعمل بدون طعون، وعليهم العمل على فرع 6 أكتوبر”.

وختم: “نريد العمل على أرض الواقع وأتمنى لهم التوفيق، أهم شيء أنه لا توجد طعون لأن الزمالك يحتاج لاستقرار إداري”.

ووصل الزمالك إلى المركز الثالث في ترتيب جدول الدوري المصري، برصيد 8 نقاط.

Pakistan hasn’t hosted a Test, ODI or T20 international since March 2009, when terrorists attacked Sri Lanka’s team bus in Lahore.Kenya landed in Pakistan on December 10 with Steve Tikolo, their greatest player, now serving as their head coach. Kenya reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2003, but have fallen sharply since, to the extent that they lost their ODI status in January. They are bringing over a depleted side to Pakistan, without players such as Collins Obuya, Tanmay Mishra, Seren Waters and Irfan Karim.There is a general feeling that Pakistan could have invited Afghanistan instead, with the prospect of more competitive cricket than a series against Kenya. For the PCB, though, the move to invite Kenya was as much about ‘perception’ as it was about competition.Afghanistan have toured Pakistan recently, playing a short one-day series in 2011 and a T20 game against Pakistan A last month. Afghanistan’s players have close ties to Pakistan, many of them having been born and raised in refugee camps in the outskirts of Peshawar. A couple of them even had their weddings in Peshawar.Inviting a non-Asian team, in that context, is seen as making a little more of an impact on the international community’s perception of Pakistan’s ability and suitability to host international cricket.”It would be unfair in the extreme to assume that due attention is not being given to Afghanistan,” Subhan Ahmed, the PCB’s chief operating officer, told ESPNcricinfo. “We have signed and are implementing an elaborate MoU with the Afghanistan Cricket Board which facilitates and supports Afghan cricket in every which way.”But Kenya’s visit has its own importance because it is the first full non-Asian team to visit Pakistan after March 2009. This tour will help in changing the perception about security in Pakistan. We hope that tours by other full-member teams will follow after this.”Kenya’s players and staff are ensconced within three tight security layers. Movement has been restricted between the Gaddafi Stadium and the National Cricket Academy with the entire area cordoned off from the general public, who have to take an alternate route to get to the venue.”The purpose is to demonstrate that we have the will and resources to organize cricket befittingly,” Subhan said. “It is to give the visitors the comfort of a secure environment. As we move forward, there will be relaxation at various levels in the security but it will be gradual and not immediate.”That said, the perception that the Kenyans have been cooped up in a secure environment and just brought out for cricket over nearly two weeks is erroneous. On every free day, social activity and entertainment opportunities have been organised for the Kenyan squad. For instance, one day there is lunch at the governor’s house, then there is a visit to an elite college, shopping, dinner in the old city and also a bonfire. I am positive that apart from good cricket, the Kenyans will take back home happy and fond memories of Lahore and our hospitality.”Till June this year, Pakistan had been pushing hard to invite the full members but toned down their expectations thereafter. The PCB began lobbying among the affiliate and associate countries instead. Ireland could have been the first team to visit Pakistan but an attack on the Karachi airport postponed their visit.Pakistan are presently in talks with a few cricket boards in Europe, with Netherlands among them. ESPNcricinfo understands the Dutch high commissioner is among the high-profile guests invited to the Gaddafi Stadium to witness the Kenya series.”The revival of international cricket will be a slow process. Kenya’s visit will definitely give other teams the confidence of sending their outfits here and fortify our claims of there being a sea change in the security situation,” Subhan said. “Also, we are already in contact with a few other countries in this regard and we are expecting a positive outcome.”

He is firstly thankful that no one in his family was among the 38,000 Sri Lankans who lost their lives, but their troubles were hardly insubstantial.”We lost everything,” Chandimal said, “including my cricket bag. I can still remember what happened like it was yesterday, the way our home was caught up and lost. Our neighbours and our relatives, everyone was affected. I feel very sad even now, when I think about it.”Perhaps no on-field disappointment will ever match the distress of surviving a tsunami, but in 2014, Chandimal has had plenty of cricketing adversity to overcome. Having begun the year with 89 in a match-saving stand with Angelo Mathews in Abu Dhabi, his form deserted him so emphatically that he dropped himself from the World T20 side he was captaining. He was axed from the ODI team soon after. For that, I watched a lot of videos of myself batting well in the past – my hundred at Lord’s, my batting in the CB series in 2012, and in my debut Test against South Africa. I absorbed all of that, and it’s allowed me to start doing well again.”Chandimal’s change of fortunes came at the tail-end of the series against England, when the axing of opener Kusal Perera vacated a space in the middle order. Jamshed was trapped lbw in the 27th over, but Yousuf and Siddiq carried on, combining for a fourth-wicket association which yielded 104 runs, to set up the win. Yousuf struck five fours during his 63, while Siddiq’s 53-ball 62 featured seven fours and a six.Earlier, Fighters, opting to bat, posted 279 for 7 from their 50 overs. But, like many fans in the country, though McCullum attempts to suppress his excitement about Williamson’s potential, though he takes care to manage his expectations, he can’t help but predict great things for the batsman.Six weeks ago, McCullum had said he “firmly believe Kane could go down as New Zealand’s greatest-ever batter”, echoing an already rising chorus of past players, including Martin Crowe, who have said the same. Now, following Williamson’s 57 on Saturday, which was his fourth fifty-plus ODI score on the trot, and the fifth in six matches, McCullum has again outlined his value to the team, and to New Zealand’s World Cup campaign.”Geez, it’s scary to think how good Kane could be in the years to come,” he said. “I wouldn’t change him for anyone in the world at No. 3. I guess a lot of our hope for success in this World Cup will rest on Kane and also Ross Taylor. How they perform in this World Cup will allow us to score the runs which our bowling attack will require to be aggressive, and to be able to get the results we want.”Williamson has been among the quickest improvers in the past year, raising his ODI average by more than 11, since the beginning of 2014. He currently averages 46.46 and strikes at 82.88 after 61 innings. By way of comparison, those numbers are marginally better than those of Virat Kohli at the same stage of his career. “I guess I’m more familiar with Kane’s game and his impact on our team than of Virat’s, which is one of the reasons why I say that I wouldn’t change him,” McCullum said. “Virat is an amazing player. His record is phenomenal already, and he’s still such a young guy.”But what we’re seeing with Kane at the moment is a guy who is incredibly comfortable with his game, who keeps trying to develop and learn. He works very, very hard. He’s an incredible team man, as well, and I think we’ve seen that with some of his innings – he’s looking to up the ante for the team cause rather than the chance for individual milestones.”Williamson has also put himself in the IPL auction on Monday, but far from being a distraction during the World Cup campaign, McCullum said the IPL experience may make Williamson a better player. “If Kane is able to pick up an IPL contract today, the level headed guy that he is, he will see the learning opportunities in it. Hopefully if he does get picked up he goes to a good team where he’s able to continue to develop and learn, because he’s very open to learning. He’s often speaking to some of the opposition players who are a similar ilk to what he is and he tries to glean any sort of advice or tips off them.”McCullum also said he expects plenty of runs to be scored in this World Cup, as he prepares his team to face Scotland in New Zealand’s second match of the tournament. The first five matches have each featured a score of 300 or more, and this new trend brings new strategies into play, McCullum said.”We’ve seen already that the wickets in both Australia and New Zealand are pure wickets, so it allows good ball striking and high scores to unfold. From a bowling point of view, you’ve got to make sure that you can attack. If you can keep taking wickets then you can limit the opposition’s ability to attack, and that’s one of our philosophies.”You’ve also got to have a calm take on it. When you are going around the park occasionally, it can be very easy to give up on an over, as a bowler. But geez, 14 off an over could actually be a good over in the grand scheme of things. You’ve just got to mitigate against those 25, 26, 27 run overs.”
