أعلن معتمد جمال، المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي الزمالك، عن قائمة اللاعبين المقرر لهم خوض مواجهة ساجرادا الأنجولي، في كأس الكونفدرالية الإفريقية.

ومن المقرر أن تُقام مباراة الزمالك وساجرادا، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 20 من ديسمبر الجاري، في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة.

وكان الزمالك قد تمكن من تحقيق الفوز على ساجرادا بهدف دون رد، في ثالث جولات دور المجموعات من كأس الكونفدرالية.

ويتواجد الزمالك في المجموعة الثانية من مجموعات بطولة الكونفدرالية، رفقة أبو سليم الليبي وسوار الغيني وساجرادا الأنجولي.

واستبعد معتمد جمال، الثلاثي أحمد فتوح ومحمد صبحي ومصطفى الزناري، من قائمة اللاعبين المسافرة إلى أنجولا، لأسباب انضباطية.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has said that he is wary about South Africa’s spin threat, and is hoping that his batsmen and spinners can step up to the challenge in the ODIs

Bangladesh had to make do with shorter space for their warm-up session ahead of the first ODI against South Africa, as most of the ground was under covers amid leaden skies on Thursday.Soon, the players broke into two teams and played football before heading to the indoor nets of the Shere Bangla National Stadium. They stayed there for the next couple of hours as Dhaka experienced one heavy shower after another.More rain has been forecast for Friday, but that didn’t stop Mashrafe Mortaza from stating what he expects from his team in the first ODI against South Africa.”We have to play well by adjusting to the wicket,” Mashrafe said. “We have to be a step ahead of South Africa in every department. This is how you win against such a team. We had gone into a habit of winning matches since the World Cup. Everyone wants to win and this is our job.”But by focusing on the results too much, we forget the process with which we got the wins. We should go back to the basics, and to the mentality through which we turned things around since the World Cup.”Much of the talk ahead of the ODI series has centered around the pitch, especially after it offered considerable turn in the two T20s. While Mashrafe admitted that there was ‘confusion’ about the pitch, he said that the hosts would be better off if they don’t ponder too much about the wicket.”There is some confusion about the wicket. By that I mean, our batsmen and bowlers have been doing well on true wickets since the World Cup. But we also have think about their pace attack,” he said.”I think it is better not to think too much about the wicket. We have to keep our processes right, whoever is bowling at us. South Africa’s spin attack will be further bolstered by Imran Tahir, who was the leading wicket taker in the World T20 in Bangladesh last year with 12 scalps at 10.91.”Imran Tahir has been bowling well for some time now. Aaron Finch was taken to hospital after been hit on the chest by a delivery while playing for Yorkshire’s 2nd XI on Monday.Finch, the Australia limited-overs opener, was part of the side taking on Worcestershire seconds in Barnt Green, south of Birmingham, when he was hit while attempting a pull shot off the seamer Chris Russell.While Finch walked from the pitch unaided, he was clearly in some pain and, after spitting up blood, was quickly taken to hospital. At hospital he underwent a series of tests and X-rays to ascertain the extent of the injuries, with Yorkshire suggesting that his condition had eased considerably. The hosts beat South Africa for the first time in an ODI series last week and Imrul hoped the team could take the confidence gained from the ODIs into the Test format as well. The first Test in Chittagong starts from July 21.”I think a batting-friendly pitch would be best for us,” Imrul said in Chittagong. “If we can score over 400 runs and they match us, the game will go towards a draw. Against the No 1 Test team in the world, a draw would be a big achievement.”The team is in a good rhythm. We won the last four ODI series at home. I think that if we can replicate our ODI form into the Tests, there will be something good for Bangladesh.”Imrul’s wish for a batting track could come true as Zahid Reza Babu, the pitch curator of Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, has traditionally delivered pitches that favour the batsmen heavily. Imrul, however, admitted that the spinners will ultimately be required to do most of the work.”Our spinners take more wickets in almost all our home series,” he said. “We don’t have pitches on which pace bowlers can take five-six wickets. So the spinners will once again need to pick up wickets. Shakib and Taijul will have to lead the way, bowl well and take wickets.”Bangladesh’s reliance can be gauged from the fact that in the eight home Tests since January 2014, their spinners have taken 91 of the 110 wickets to fall to bowlers. The first spell is bowled by the best bowlers and whatever help there is from the pitch is at the start of the game,” he said. “If the openers can fight through this early period and score runs, it makes life easier for the rest of the batting line-up.”Almost every bowling attack in the world has guys bowling 140-145kph regularly. But we cannot think too much about it. We are playing positive cricket and by being consistent, we can handle their pace attack. I made my debut in South Africa and I have played Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel.
